Ostara Brownies - vegan and gluten-free
1.5 cups of gluten free flour
1/4 teaspoon of baking soda
7 tablespoons of cacao powder
4 ounces of cacao nibs
1/2 teaspoon of salt
mix all of these dry ingredients above
1.5 cups of coconut sugar
3 Tablespoons of Ostara coconut butter
4 Tablespoons of coconut oil
1.5 teaspoons of vanilla extract
1/4 teaspoon of apple cider vinager
1 cup of hot chocolate (very hot!)
Blend sugar and wet incredients, fold over into dry ingredients and stir.
Fold in crushed walnuts. Pour into a 9"x9" baking pan.
Take 1/4 cup of maple syrup, 1/4 cup of water, (optional: 1 TB of orange infused honey), 2 TB of cacao powder, bring to boil, stirring. Pour boiling chocolately mixture over the baking pan about 2' so it splashes ontop of the brownie mix. Try to spread it evenly. The craters created will make a chocolate fudge when baked.
Bake at 350 deg for 35 minutes or toothpick comes out clean. If possible, let sit for 5 minutes to cool before eating. Serve with a cup of iced almond milk if needed to eat before cooling has been completed.
